My daughter has bunion’s at 15 from running and was in pain this past season until I bought her a pair of these. No leg or foot pain once she got use to the them. The more she wears them the easier they are to put on and more comfortable they become for your feet. She has two pair and even wears them to run in the snow. She wears no socks in them. They do tend to get stinky, so she washes them with her laundry and air dries them. Allow time for legs to adjust and make sure you read the size chart on the official web site.

I’m vacationing in Key West and needed a pair of light shoes. Saw these and intuitively knew they would be awesome. I have wide feet, with only slight arch. Unlike my previous pair of “running shoes,” these don’t squash my toes in like sardines. (My toes are really long, like mon
key-fingers.) I ran in them for a little bit, and their flexibility allows me to naturally contour my feet as I move. Very unlike the forced and always unnatural contour of a regular shoe. Also, I like to stretch. These allow me to stretch my foot while wearing them. They are adequately breathable. I would try on a few different types before purchasing. There are several and this one might not be the right one for you. My only regret is that I wish I had found these about 10 years sooner!

These shoes are probably not for everyone. They are hard to put on and take off. I use them with Injinji socks because when I don’t my feet get blisters. I’m in Afghanistan and run 3-7 miles on a treadmill everyday. This is the second pair of Five Fingers I’ve owned. At the time of this review I am 40-years-old and a former Marine. My knees tend to ache after I run more than 3 miles in regular sneakers. Not the Five Fingers. When I run in them my calves hurt instead. It’s a good hurt though – muscle pain rather than joint pain. Trust me, muscle pain is better than joint pain. I’m not a scientist or medical health care professional but I do listen to the pain in my body at 40. Do yourself a favor and try the shoes – you won’t be disappointed if you don’t overdo it the first few times you go out for a run. Be cautious if you are running on sharp gravel or other surfaces with lots of pointy obstacles. These shoes are fine to run on rounded gravel but they don’t have the same padding as standard issues running shoes.FYI – I ordered the men’s shoes and reviewed them, so not sure why the item is now described as women’s but I’m pretty sure you’ll have a similar experience with the shoes.
